The Art of Bienestar/Wellbeing

Lorena and Dali

Legend has it that when the artist, Salvador Dali, arrived in Mexico, he promptly left. Why? He reportedly said that he did not ‘want to be in a country that was more SURREAL than his Art”…

And that precisely describes the reason ARTE exists, why we are here and staying. Presenting to you what is interesting, ethereal, earthy, and surprising about a place we call Home.

I’ve lived and worked around the world, but Mexico has captured my heart, soul, and my imagination. My goal as the Editor Creator of the El Arte Del Bienestar ezine is to present to you compelling stories, photos and videos so you too can fall in love.

Introduction

Christmas time is my favorite holiday to celebrate. And to be honest, it has nothing to do with its religious significance. As a kid, I was under the spell of the Santa Claus myth. I duly wrote my annual ‘Letter to Santa’ with a long list of All the gifts I wanted to receive. Of course, I planned on being on my very best behavior in order to receive said anticipated gifts. I also diligently watched the kid’s Santa Claus program, Monday-Friday, after dinner, with stars in my eyes and avarice in my heart.
Today, I am happy to note that the sacredness and sanctity of the season now resonates with me. But the giving and especially ‘the receiving’ of gifts is still alive and well in my heart.
This edition is thus dedicated to all believers who trust in gifts. And I know the best gifts are those which embody a higher Power and represent goodness, love, forgiveness and represent the season’s mantra: Peace on Earth and Goodwill to All.
